Job Summary:
The HR Administrator is responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources department. This role ensures the efficient handling of HR processes, including recruitment, employee records, payroll preparation, and compliance with company policies and labour legislation. The HR Administrator plays a vital role in supporting both management and employees in HR-related matters.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Grade 12 / Matric and a relevant HR qualification (Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management).
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in HR administration.
- Age: 25 – 45 – female.
- Excellent knowledge of labour legislation law, CCMA proceedings and HR best practices.
- Computer literacy in MS Office and HR/payroll systems (e.g., Sage, VIP, or similar).
- Valid drivers license with own vehicle.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving and administrative skills.
- Professional attitude and approachable demeanor.
- Team player with a customer service mindset.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Maintain and update employee records, databases, and personnel files.
- Assist with recruitment processes, including posting job adverts, screening CVs, and arranging interviews.
- Prepare employment contracts, on boarding documentation, and induction packs for new employees.
- Support payroll by providing accurate employee information and processing changes.
- Assist in managing employee benefits, leave records, and attendance tracking.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
- Handle HR correspondence and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Coordinate training sessions, performance appraisals, and staff wellness initiatives.
- Responsible for all disciplinary actions and CCMA hearings.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR Manager and other departments.
